SIZZLING soap babe Gemma Atkinson is set to make a sensational return to Hollyoaks after agreeing a £100,000-a-year deal.

The gorgeous 22-year-old will become the show’s highest-paid star after being tempted back to Chester with the huge salary.

Fans of the Hollyoaks honey will be thrilled to hear that she is reprising her role as Lisa Hunter. But her colleagues may not be so happy because her pay deal is rumoured to be twice as much as other regulars.

Our Hollyoaks insider said: “Gemma was an incredibly popular member of the show and it is a real scoop to get her back.

“It will make her the highest-paid star of the show but she has a huge fan base and bosses think she’ll be worth every penny.”

It’s believed that the average salary on the show is about £50,000 to £80,000 a year.

Gemma, who is dating footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, 22, played Lisa in the Channel 4 soap for four years until leaving in 2005 to star in the racy E4 spin-off In The City.

Shocked viewers watched as Gemma’s character became a high-class hooker before almost being murdered when the programme ended earlier this year.

But she is poised to return after being promised a series of dramatic storylines.

The insider added: “Her character will have an affair with a current heart-throb, although it has not been decided who yet.

“Lisa is going to be far more grown-up when she returns but they still want her to be sexy and you can bet it won’t be long before she is breaking hearts.”

Since leaving Hollyoaks, Gemma has had her boobs surgically enhanced to a whopping 34D.

She also enjoyed a starring role on ITV1’s Soapstar Superstar.

Hollyoaks have dismissed claims that Gemma Atkinson is to return to Channel 4 soap later this year, Digital Spy can reveal.

Recent news reports have suggested that the 22-year-old actress has allegedly signed a £100,000-a-year deal, which would make her the show's highest-paid star.

A spokeswoman for the programme, however, told DS: "There are no current plans for Gemma Atkinson to return to Hollyoaks in the foreseeable future."

Gemma appeared in the Channel 4 soap as Lisa Hunter for four years until leaving in 2005. She then went on to appear in spin-off show Hollyoaks: Let Loose the same year and Hollyoaks: In The City earlier this year.

SOAP sexpot Gemma Atkinson will be cooking up a treat when she takes on a string of stars in Celebrity Masterchef.

And we know it won’t only be the food that has the judges’ mouths watering.

The former Hollyoaks babe is sure to send temperatures soaring in the kitchen as the stars battle it out to be crowned top chef in the new series of the hit BBC1 show.

Gemma, 22, is planning to pull out all the stops to grab the award from England rugby star Matt Dawson, 34, who won the celeb cooking challenge last year.

But the gorgeous girl admits that she’s never been much of a cook, although she has been working hard ready for her TV stint.

She laughs: “Once I tried to cook chicken pasta bake for my mum on Mother’s Day. But I ended up ringing her halfway through and asking her to finish it for me!

“I usually live on microwave meals and takeaways, and popping round to my mum’s for dinner.

“And even if I go abroad, I have sausage and chips.”

During the three-week competition, each celeb must invent two dishes using a selection of ingredients, cook lunch at a top London restaurant and create their own two-course meal.

Presenters and judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace will once again be on the receiving end of a wide variety of culinary creations.

And Gemma reveals how it was the show’s top critics who helped her through during filming.

She said: “I had to break the bone away from the skin of about 20 ducks and I didn’t like doing that to an animal, even though it was dead.

“Doing lunch service at the restaurant was the most stressful part.

“We had the head chef shouting orders at us all the time. I’m very impatient and don’t like being told what to do.

“But Gregg and John were lovely and cracked jokes to lighten things up.”

Gemma, who played Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks, will be seen battling it out with footballer Robbie Earle, 42, and Band Aid fundraiser Midge Ure, 54.

And one of her pals said the fellas had better beware, because she’s not afraid to use a few tricks to win.

The friend said: “Gemma can’t wait to get in the kitchen and give everyone a run for their money.

“She’s not known for her cooking skills, but she’s definitely going to surprise a few people.

“This girl has more than a few tricks up her sleeve, so the rest had better watch out!”
