Gemma Atkinson could achieve her dream of making it big in the States after all, as BBC America announced they would be screening Channel 4's teen soap Hollyoaks.
The announcement was made on the BBC America website as the channel prepares for a 'radical makeover' later this year.
BBC America boss Garth Ancier said the channel will now "focus exclusively on bringing U.S. audiences the very best in contemporary British programs - including a greater emphasis on our world renowned news coverage."
But, the big news concerns the Channel 4 soap, which has made stars out of several of its actors, including Davinia Taylor and lad's mag pin-up Gemma Atkinson.
British shows, like Footballers' Wives, have become hits in the States after airing on the channel and it is hoped that Hollyoaks will also achieve success with US audiences.
It has been reported that Gemma, 22, was in talks with Hollywood movie producers to make a film in the States, and the BBC's decision to screen Hollyoaks could give her a massive push in the right direction.
